Stage & Environmental Design

I created stage and environmental design concepts for Overtime’s Card Stars, a live competition built around Overtime Elite’s trading card series. The goal was to transform the event space into a collectible-inspired experience, immersing fans in the culture of Overtime cards while keeping the competitive energy front and center.

Creative Scope

  • Oversized trading card prints used as stage backdrops and gallery walls, celebrating the players as larger-than-life collectibles.

  • Vibrant basketball net graphics and memorabilia displays integrated into the set to create visual energy and authenticity.

  • Shelving systems and autographed Overtime basketballs used as sculptural design elements, balancing a clean monochrome aesthetic with pops of brand color.

  • Mounted digital displays incorporated to showcase event branding, logos, and live competition countdowns.

  • Judge’s panel design that visually tied into the trading card theme, reinforcing consistency across all touchpoints.

Impact
The Card Stars environment blended sports, collectibles, and culture, bringing Overtime’s trading card brand to life in a way that was bold, immersive, and built for both live audiences and digital content capture.

Stage & Environmental Design

This stage mockup for Overtime’s Card Stars imagined a bold, collectible-inspired environment built around the visual language of trading cards and basketball culture.

The design featured:

  • A basketball net–inspired backdrop, scaled to architectural proportions, creating texture and visual energy.

  • Oversized Overtime trading cards displayed gallery-style, elevating players as cultural icons and collectibles.

  • A central digital screen for live branding and countdown integration, anchoring the competition.

  • Judge’s tables staged in front, positioning the panel within the collectible-inspired set.

Impact
This concept turned the stage into a live trading card experience, blending sports, collectibles, and culture into an environment designed for both competition and shareable content.

As part of my stage design concepts for Card Stars, I incorporated actual Overtime trading cards of players from that year into the set design.

These cards were enlarged and displayed in framed, gallery-style installations, positioning the players as living collectibles and creating an environment where basketball and culture collided. By scaling the cards into environmental features, the design highlighted the collectible-first identity of the event, while also giving fans bold, photo-ready moments that celebrated OTE athletes.

Impact
Although I didn’t design the cards themselves, my work transformed them into immersive design elements—turning trading cards into stage art that brought the spirit of Overtime’s collectible culture to life.

Judge’s Panel Design

I designed a judge’s panel concept for Card Stars, positioned as the central stage element of the live competition. The table backdrop featured oversized Overtime trading cards, framing the athletes as iconic collectibles and reinforcing the event’s theme.

At the forefront, a bold LED-style “Card Stars” display anchored the table, ensuring high visibility for live audiences and digital broadcasts. The design balanced spectacle and clarity, making the judge’s panel both a functional hub for the competition and a visual centerpiece for the event.

Impact
This concept turned the judge’s table into more than a workspace—it became a stage within the stage, embodying Overtime’s fusion of sports, culture, and collectible identity.
